EKS Precision Milling Chuck

1.	Torque and durability With the new construction like a cage and because of a higher quantity of balls, a maximum contact and a big torque is possible.

Tightness/rigidness
The chuck has to be watched as a unit, so tolerance differences are reduced and because of low vibrations a higher clamping torque is reached.
The huge force is reached with clamping force and high rigidness. The vertical grooves provide axial gripping, which ensures best accuracy and maximum performance for tough roughing applications as well as excellent results for finishing applications.

3.	Double contact surface By clamping of the cutting tool the grinded surface contacts the milling chuck body which reduces vibrations.

4.	Stop screws With using adjustable stop screws the length of the tool can be adjusted.

The tolerance of the diameter of cutting tool shank must be h6

To obtain maximum gripping force, cutting tool shanks with weldon flats or whistle notches are not recommended but can be used.

The length of the cutting tool shank should be long enough to ensure the chucking length.

Cutting tool shanks must be clean, and free of rust, burs and dimples.

? Note:

Clean the milling chuck, collet, and cutting tool carefully before assembling, and make sure there is no dust, oil, burs, rust, dimples, etc.
On the milling chuck and cutting tool to avoid inadequate chucking.

Do not chuck on the cutting edges or use double-ended end mills.

If a collet is needed, be sure the collets is inserted until the flange of the collet touches the surface of the front end of the milling chuck.
Otherwise, this can cause a broken end millor collet. Even damage to the chuck itself.

Tightening ring contacts the face of the milling chuck body.

Fine Run - Out Accuracy
Milling Chucks can obtain a run - out accuracy of 10 ?m (T.I.R) at the position 3xd from the nose.
It also allows the use of straight shank collets and many straight shank accessories.
The EKS provides maximum flexibilty for almost any application.
