Fami was established in 1963 as "Fabbrica Attrezzature Mobili Industriali" (Industrial Fittings Factory), but its roots date back many years, when founder Mario Milani opened a small ironworking business in 1929. The company now manufactures metal furniture and equipment for workshops, furnishing and storage systems.

The secret of success is flexibility. A feature that the company has intentionally built up over the years to develop tailored-made systems by means orf advanced technologies to meet the needs of customers. The introduction of plastic, which is lighter, more modern and easier to handle than metal, brought about a radical change. This gave way to the production of polypropylene containers and a host of accessories for industrial fittings: containters, shelving, tool cabinets, trolleys.

Today the company is a managerial organisation, with a strong tradition that has been passed on from generation to generation, and is a leading name worldwide.
